The SOW is your rehab blueprint. It itemizes every task (demo kitchen, install LVP flooring, replace HVAC), the materials, and the cost for each. A detailed SOW is the difference between a controlled renovation and a money pit. Vague scopes ('fix up the kitchen') lead to cost overruns. Specific scopes ('remove existing cabinets, install 24 LF of shaker cabinets, quartz countertop, subway tile backsplash') keep contractors accountable.
